At Grace Church Summer Day Camp, your kids will spend the summer having fun and making memories! The days will be packed with games, crafts, activities, local outings (including trips to the Kutztown Pool and Park), daily Bible time, and weekly themes. Our trained and background-checked staff will help to ensure a positive and safe environment for your kids. Camp is available for all kids who are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Summer Day Camp is a 9 week program during summer months, Monday through Friday.
June: 10 - 14, 17 - 21, 24 - 28 July: 8 - 12, 15 - 19, 22 - 26 August: 5 - 9, 12 - 16, 19 - 23. Camp hours are from 9am - 4pm. Grace Church Kutztown is located at 421 W. Main Street, Kutztown. |
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-In will begin at 8:00am each day. An adult must sign in each kid in the foyer of the church, entering upon the front doors.
Check-Out begins at 3:45pm. We do require that all kids are picked up no later than 5pm. If you need to pick your child up earlier in the day, please notify the staff at check-in so that we will have your child back at the church. We require an adult that is listed on the Authorized Child Pick-Up to present a photo ID to sign out campers. Please note that if the adult is not listed on the Authorized Child Pick-Up, we cannot release the camper to them.

Cost
Early Registration: $130/week per child, or $30/day per child. We are offering a 20% discount for each additional child in the family. The weekly cost is $150/week per child after May 1st. Because of camp capacity, a $30 non-refundable deposit is required per child per week to lock in your spot. (If you cancel at least two weeks prior to your reserved week, we will refund you all but the $30 deposit if you have made your payment.) All daily rate children require a $10 non-refundable deposit per day (with the same refund policy).
The deposits will be deducted from weekly/daily balances. Remaining weekly/daily balances are due by the Friday prior to each week of camp. We accept online payment, cash, or checks made payable to Grace Church.
There will be additional costs for outings. We will be going to the pool 3 days a week, so children should have a Kutztown Pool Pass or bring money each day for the pool.

Weekly Themes
JUNE
|
Week 1 (June 10-14) ~ CELEBRITIES AND SUPERHEROES: We will kick off our summer by learning about important people, including the superheroes in our own lives!
Week 2 (June 17-21) ~ MUSIC: We will spend the week doing all things music! From playing different instruments, to singing, to dancing, to putting music to videos, we will have fun learning how music can impact our lives. Week 3 (June 24-28) ~ SUMMER OLYMPICS: Get ready for a sports themed week where we will explore what it looks like to have good sportsmanship, while hosting our own mini Olympics! |
JULY

Week 4 (July 8-12) ~ HOLIDAYS: This week, we will discover the different holidays our country celebrates: Thanksgiving, 4th of July, and Easter. We will spend two days celebrating Christmas in July, which will include wearing Christmas Pajamas and playing winter-themed games!
Week 5 (July 15-19) ~ ART AND CREATIVITY: This week we will complete various art projects and crafts as we discover the creative process! Week 6 (July 22-26) ~ BAKE OFF: Have you ever seen a baking competition show? Well now you can feel like you're ON that show. We will have a baking/decorating competition while having fun making treats we can eat! |

Week 7 (August 5-9) ~ SPORTS AND GAMES: Join us for a week of sport games, board games, card games, and more games!
Week 8 (August 12-16) ~ STEM: STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math. Join us for a week of hands-on building, creating, exploring, and experimenting! Week 9 (August 19-23) ~ TALENT SHOW: This week, we will discover our talents and what makes us unique. We will even have our own Talent Show on Friday, so be prepared to show us what you can do! |
Bible Time

This summer, we will be learning about Celebrities of the Bible!
We will spend time learning about each of the follow Bible Characters: Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Ruth and Naomi, David, Esther, Jonah, Daniel, and Jesus. Bible Time is about 1 hour each day. It will include games, crafts, and other activities about the characters we learn about and their stories. Some days we will watch the beloved So & So Show or another Bible-based video to engage kids. |

What to Bring
Snacks will be provided by the camp daily. Lunch will only be included on Fridays.
Each day, please bring: a packed lunch, water bottle, and close-toed shoes.
On pool days (M, W, F), bring a swimsuit to change into, a towel, sunscreen, and pool pass/money. If you do not have a 2024 Kutztown Pool Pass, the daily fee is $6 for Kutztown residents and $10 per non-residents. If your child is still learning to swim and would like to go in the big pool, they must have floaties.
On park days (Tuesdays), bring sunscreen and sneakers.
On movie days (Thursdays), children can bring a blanket, pillow, and stuffy if they choose.
On certain days we may ask kids to bring in additional items, depending on the weekly theme. Notices will go home with parents in advance for these occasions.
