At Grace Church Summer Day Camp, your kids will spend the summer having fun and making memories! The days will be packed with games, crafts, activities, local outings (including trips to the Kutztown Pool), daily Bible time, and weekly themes. Our trained and background-checked staff will help to ensure a positive and safe environment for your kids. Camp is available for all kids who are entering kindergarten through sixth grade.

Location and Time

Summer Day Camp will be 9 weeks this summer. Monday through Friday, the first three weeks of June, July and August. Camp hours are from 9am - 4pm. Drop off begins at 7:30am and pick up ends at 5pm.

Grace Church Kutztown is located at 421 W. Main Street.

Cost

Early Registration: $120/week per child, or $30/day per child. We are offering a 20% discount for each additional child in the family. The weekly cost is $140/week per child after May 1st. Because of camp capacity, a $30 non-refundable deposit is required per child per week to lock in your spot. (If you cancel at least two weeks prior to your reserved week, we will refund you all but the $30 deposit if you have made your payment.) All daily rate children require a $10 non-refundable deposit per day (with the same refund policy).

Remaining  weekly/daily balances are due by Friday at 4pm the week prior. We accept online payment, cash, or checks made payable to Grace Church.

There will be additional costs for outings. We will be going to the pool 3 days a week, so children should have a Kutztown Pool Pass or bring money each day for the pool.

Weekly Themes

Week 1 (June 5-9) ~ SUPERHEROES: We will kick off our summer by learning about community and the everyday superheroes all around us. On Thursday, we will all dress up as our favorite superhero!
Week 2 (June 12-16) ~ SUMMER OLYMPICS: Get ready for a sports themed week where we will explore what it looks like to have good sportsmanship, while hosting our own mini Olympics!
Week 3 (June 19-23) ~ ANIMALS: This theme is a request from last summer! Kids will learn about different animals this week and play lots of games related to animals.

Week 4 (July 3-7) ~ HOLIDAYS: This week, we will discover the different holidays our country celebrates, including Christmas, Easter, and 4th of July! Camp will be offered on July 4th for families who need it.
Week 5 (July 10-14) ~ ART/CREATIVITY: This week we will complete art projects and crafts as we discover the creative process!
Week 6 (July 17-21) ~ BAKE OFF: Have you ever seen a baking competition show? Well we will have our own little bake off as we learn about patience. We will also bake tasty treats each day!

Week 7 (July 31-August 4) ~ SPORTS/GAMES: Join us for a week of sport games, board games, card games, and more games! We will be planning at least one additional park day this week, most likely on Thursday.
Week 8 (August 7-11) ~ STEM: Join us for a week of hands-on building, creating, exploring, and experimenting!
Week 9 (August 14-18) ~ TALENT SHOW: This week, we will discover our talents and what makes us unique. We will even have our own Talent Show on Thursday, so be prepared to show us what you can do!

Check-In and Check-Out

Check-In will begin at 7:30am each day. An adult must sign in each kid in the foyer of the church, entering upon the front doors. Parents may then be asked to walk their children to the Fellowship Hall, to the left of the foyer.

Check-Out begins at 4pm. We do require that all kids are picked up no later than 5pm. If you need to pick your child up earlier in the day, please notify the staff at check-in so that we will have your child back at the church. We require an adult that is listed on the Authorized Child Pick-Up to present a photo ID to sign out campers. Please note that if the adult is not listed on the Authorized Child Pick-Up, we cannot release the camper to them.

What to Bring

Snacks will be provided by the camp. Lunch will only be provided on Fridays.

Each day, please bring: a packed lunch, water bottle, and close-toed shoes.
On pool days (M, W, F), bring a swimsuit to change into, a towel, sunscreen, and pool pass/money. If you do not have a 2023 Kutztown Pool Pass, the daily fee is $6 for Kutztown residents and $10 per non-residents. If your child is still learning to swim and would like to go in the big pool, they must have floaties.
On park days (Tuesdays), bring sunscreen and sneakers.
On movie days (Thursdays), children can bring a blanket if they choose.

On certain days we may ask kids to bring in additional items, depending on the weekly theme. Notices will go home with parents in advance for these occasions.
